Local Authority – Westmorland and Furness Council. All council-related matters can be found on the Westmorland and Furness website:

Citizens Advice. Citizens Advice are there to provide the advice people need for the problems they face. To improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives. The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities.

Duddon Valley Medical Practice. Duddon Valley Medical Practice provide primary care for Kirkby-in-Furness, Broughton-in-Furness and Askam-in-Furness.

Furness General Hospital. Furness General Hospital (FGH) has a range of ‘general hospital’ services, including a full Accident & Emergency Department, Critical Care unit and Consultant led beds. FGH also provides a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day-case and inpatient surgery.

Burlington Church of England School. Burlington Church of England School was built in 1877 for the children of workers at the local slate quarry. It is located in the village of Kirkby in Furness, on the A595 giving ready access for families in the village and those who commute through the village.

Kirkby-in-Furness Cricket Club. We are a small community based cricket club in Cumbria and we play in Division 1 of the Cumbria Cricket League. Old and new players most welcome.

Grizebeck Community Hall. Completed in summer 2011, this modern, spacious and airy hall is in an easily accessible location set in beautiful countryside with plenty of good off-road parking. The hall can easily accommodate up to 100 people. The hall was built as a facility to be used by the whole community with a view to bringing people together and offering both existing and new facilities, services and events.

Longlands Holiday Park. Longlands is a luxury, private holiday park on the edge of the Lake District National Park overlooking the stunning Duddon Sands.
