Further Closures of the A595

A temporary road closure was put place to enable Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out highway works which unfortunately are not yet complete and require further road closures to be put in place to facilitate the additional works which are required.

This means the road will be closed as follows;

Mon 30th October 2023 between the hours of1900hrs to 0500; and

Tuesday 31st October 2023 between the hours of 1900hrs to 0500

Location: A595 Soutergate, from its junction with Askewgate Brow extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 4km.

Alternative Route: A suitable alternative route will be made available via the unrestricted sections of the A595, A590 and the A5092.

N.B. Due to the nature of the works it is not possible to maintain access for pedestrian and dismounted cyclist through the site.
